Platform
Everything you need to roster your team.
Rosie writes the roster for you, and you drag shifts to change it. Team and Business add clock-ins, timesheets and leave. Business adds your own break rules, and break sign-off at clock-out.
Roster Building
Write the roster, then check it and send it out.
Auto-fill: Rosie writes the roster
Tell Rosie how many staff you need in each role on each shift. Press Auto-fill and it writes the roster, working around who is free, contracted hours, qualifications, rest between shifts, and sharing the hours fairly. You check it, change anything, and publish.
Drag-and-Drop Roster Grid
Visual roster builder with a weekly grid view. Drag shifts between staff and days, adjust start and end times, and see coverage gaps at a glance. Works on desktop and tablet.
Shift Templates
Create reusable shift patterns: opener, mid, closer. Save your usual week as a template and use it for any week. Set different staffing for public holidays and special events.
Multi-Location Support
Manage rosters across more than one site from one dashboard. Each location has its own staffing requirements. Move staff between locations when you need extra hands. Up to 3 locations on Roster, 10 on Team, and as many as you like on Business.
Role-Based Scheduling
Give staff their roles, such as Barista, Manager, RN or Keyholder. When auto-filling, Rosie only puts people on shifts for roles they hold.
Staff Management
Staff send their own requests. You approve them. On Team and Business.
Availability Management
Staff set the days and times they can work each week in the app, and mark themselves unavailable on particular dates (holidays, appointments). On Team and Business. On Roster, you set which days each person works.
Shift Swaps
Staff ask to swap shifts with a colleague through the app. Rosie checks both people hold the role the shift needs, then you approve or decline it. On Team and Business.
Leave Management
Staff send leave requests with dates and a reason. Managers approve or decline. Auto-fill will not roster anyone on their approved leave. On Team and Business.
Push Notifications
Staff get a notification on their phone when the roster is published, when their shift changes, and when a swap is decided. Needs the staff app, so Team and Business.
Time & Attendance
Know who's working. No paper timesheets.
Mobile Time Clock
Staff clock in and out from their phone, and the hours go straight onto their timesheet. On Team and Business. On Business you can also require them to be at the venue to clock in.
Clock-in tablet
Set up a shared tablet at your venue as a time clock. Staff tap to clock in and out. On Business.
Timesheet Reports
See hours worked per staff member, per location, per pay period. Approve timesheets, then export them for payroll. On Team and Business.
Compliance & Fairness
The rules are enforced. You don't have to remember.
Rest Period Enforcement
Set the minimum hours between shifts, on every plan. Auto-fill won't roster someone for a 6am open after an 11pm close unless your rest setting allows it, and adding that shift by hand gets a warning.
Hour Limits
Maximum hours per day and per pay period (weekly, fortnightly or monthly), and a limit on days in a row, all applied by auto-fill on every plan. Adding a shift by hand warns you if it breaks someone’s hours or rest. Rules for each employment type (shift length, hours and rest) are on Team and Business.
Fair Shift Distribution
Rosie balances shift counts and hours across the team against each person’s contracted target, and it tries harder to avoid giving someone too few hours than too many, so nobody is quietly left short. After auto-fill you see the busiest and quietest person’s hours, so you can check the spread.
Labour Cost Tracking
See a running wage cost as you build the roster, so you know roughly where you are before you publish rather than after payroll. It is an estimate at each person’s base pay rate; weekend and public holiday rates are in the reports. On Team and Business.
